For Immediate Release: Jasper, Alamaba - January 13, 2025 – Dr’s Matthew Prevost, MD, and Mark Prevost II, MD  board-certified and fellowship trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons with Alabama Back Institute, are on the forefront of cutting-edge technology advancements in motion-preservation procedures of the spine.  They recently performed the first Lumbar Total Disc Replacement in the Birmingham area, and one of the first in all of Alabama, using Centinel Spine’s prodisc® L Total Disc Replacement (TDR) technology.

Thanks to our partnership with Brainlab, we’ve transformed the way we perform spine surgeries using the state-of-the-art Loop-X robotic imaging technology. This game-changing advancement allows for more precise, efficient, and minimally invasive procedures, giving our patients the best possible care with faster recovery times.
